This is not the case for cheaper, plastic patio furniture, which is much more difficult to repair because the plastic breaks down as well as the straps or slings. In this case it is best to replace the entire set with better, sturdier patio furniture. Even high-end wrought iron and aluminum patio furniture needs repair after a few years. Painted finishes and straps can fade and discolor due to exposure from sun, pool chemicals, acid rain, heat, and tree sap. The frames may still be in great shape though, and if this is the case, it might be difficult and very costly to find the same quality brand new.
